New ChatGPT API...

I had a different update planned for today, but this announcement is too big not to share immediately.

OpenAI just announced their new ChatGPT API. This means that, from now on, you can build products that tie in directly into ChatGPT / GPT3.5 “turbo” (previously, this was not possible, as you could only access older models via API). Also, their service is now 10x cheaper! So I imagine many new business models just became viable.

In addition, they are also offering their Whisper service (text-to-speech) via API.

As a Second Thing ^TM for today, Marc Zuckerberg (Meta CEO) announced that Meta was building a new “top-level product group”, “focused on generative AI to turbocharge our work in this area”.

I guess, the competition is on!
